    LIVING WITHOUT A MOBILE PHONE

I think it would be an utopia living without mobiles phones since we are used to have them now. However, despite its advantages this device has also some inconvenients.

Firstly, and one of the most important advantages, in my opinion, is that mobiles allow us keeping in touch with family, friends, etc, anywhere and anytime. We don’t have to know phone numbers by heart, because we have them inside the mobile diary.

Secondly, is for example, just in case of having an accident, suffering illness, being lost or any other extraordinary situation we could be living, having a mobile could be quite useful. As we all know, it has helped to keep a person alive when he/she was in a dramatical moment.

Thirdly, this fantastic little machine can also be used to go on the Internet, listen to our favourite music, read books, play games or even watch television wherever we are.

But mobiles also have some disadvantages, as for instance, having to listen to private conversations in any place you are when you have no interest in it.

On the other hand, there are a lot of people who continue working on their mobiles the whole day, even when theyi are with their family or on holiday.

And who has never felt really ashamed when his/her mobile has rung just in the worst moment, since he/she forgot to switch it off, it happens very often to almost everybody.

Despite its disadvantages and although I can’t hear the rings most of the times, I think I couldn’t live without my mobile. I’m sure, it has been one of the best inventions in the world.

    LIVING WITHOUT A MOBILE PHONE

Almost every body has a mobile phone. But is it a great invention?
I think there are both advantages and disadvantages.
I have to say that when mobile-phones were invented twenty years ago, everybody thought that they were a great machine. In those years, to get a mobile was difficult and something very expensive. They were apparatus very big and heavy.
Nowadays, the technology has improved much and last models are apparatus of last generation which allow talking; listening music; making photos or videos; playing games; sending messages; or switch on Internet for instance.
Although there are some models which are very expensive, the most are accessible or available for all people.
I’m going to explain some advantages and disadvantages of to have mobile.
First, if you have a mobile phone when you need it really, you won’t have to look for a cabin immediately. You can use it without problems, except if there isn’t money or cover.
Another advantage of to have mobile is to have a lot of applications which you can use them. Mobiles are as a tiny computer which you can arrive to each site.
Last advantage for me is that you have organized your contacts and always you find them quickly. In them you can put their names, surnames, address, e-mails, etc….
On the other hand, there are also some disadvantages because in first site for using a mobile you must be responsible and you must know what is right or bad. You can make something which is to long for law, as for example, to film others persons without their consent.
Secondly, if you have a mobile-phone you will lose independence because with it you always will be localizable and you will have to respond when it rings.
Thirdly you must be careful because there are studies which maintain firmly that mobile phones are addicts and they can cause an addiction for using them by an irresponsible way. For instance, each time most there are therapies which are used to do that people don’t depend on his mobile phone and they have to use to live without it.
In conclusion, I think that mobile phones are a great invention because they are high-technology within one’s reach when we need them, but in the other hand, they require of a responsible use because if they are used badly, they will be prejudicial for us.
Besides, in some countries is totally prohibited talking by mobile while you are driving because this is the first cause of accidents in the traffic.

  3. Loly R.R. -CAL says:

Almost everybody has a mobile phone. In each family there are several of them. But is it a great invention? I think there are both advantages and disadvantages.

The first advantage is that you can talk to your family or meet up with your friends from anywhere. Secondly, if you have a problem, for example, an accident on the road, you can quickly call to emergency, police or breakdown truck, and gain time. Thirdly, it can give you moments of entertainment playing, chatting, making photos, listening to music,… Also you can send messages which will be received in seconds. Besides you can activate “hands free” and speak while doing something else and, nowadays, mobile phones are small and easy to carry.

On the other hand there are also some disadvantages. For instance, your boss can always get in touch with you although you are on holiday. You often have to recharge the battery. In some places you have no signal. It is not sure but it seems that it can produce radiation and, finally, you can lose it.

In my opinion, I think mobiles are a great invention but we must know when and how use it. The best is a responsible use, if not they can even ruin your economy!

  4. María Belén Hans Uber 3º CAL says:

    Mobile phones- a great invention?

Almost everybody has a mobile phone. But is it a great invention?

On one hand, we can see people who have several mobiles in your pockets or in your bags. They are all the day talking on their mobile, that is to say, they are addicted to the mobile.
On the other hand, there are people who live without mobile and they think they don’t need it.

I think there are both advantages and disadvantages.

The first advantage is that you can phone to emergency if you have any problem in an isolated place, on the road, in the mountain, etc. Your mobile can save your life. Secondly, if you have a mobile, you can get in touch with your family and your friends at any moment of the day. This is interesting, when you are abroad and you miss your people specially, although it can be a problem also when you need are alone. Thirdly you have a camera, a radio and a phone in only one appliance which is each day smaller and smaller.

On the other hand, there are also some disadvantages. For example, you are more stressed because your mobile can ring at any time. People usually use their mobile in any place, when they are walking on the road, when they are on the bus and they can annoy you specially if you are reading or trying to listen to music.

From my point of view, the biggest problem is the use that the children do of the mobile. At school, they mustn’t take their mobile but we have to punish them every day because they don’t respect the rule. I think that a child doesn’t need to have a mobile, because he can do a wrong use.

In conclusion, although having a mobile have some disadvantages I can’t imagine our life without it, we have to do a use responsible of it.

    LIVING WITHOUT A MOBILE PHONE

Almost everybody has a mobile phone. But is it a great invention? I think there are both, advantages and disadvantages.

The first advantage is that people can talk from anywhere in the world with their families or friends. The second is that everyone can be in touch when they want.

On the other hand, there are also some disadvantages. For example, children spend much time sending text messages or listening to music on their mobile phones. I think, if they don´t have a mobile, they will spend much time studying, reading and talking with their parents or friends.
Also, some people use their mobiles while driving a car and it is very dangerous.

In conclusion, I think having a mobile is important, but you should use it, only when you need and ban children from spending much time with them.

  6. Alberto Gálvez Bravo says:

Mobile phones – a great invention?

Almost everybody has a mobile phone. But is it a great invention? I think there are both advantages and disadvantages.

The first advantage is that you can keep in touch with your family or your friends so if you need to talk with one of them you can do it when and where you want. Secondly, nowadays mobile phones are very small so you can bring them with you everywhere. thirdly, they are small computers where you can keep a lot of information like telephone numbers, dates, etc and even you can use them to surf on the internet.

On the other hand, there are also disadvantages. For example, people can bother you everytime that they want like at time of siesta or when you are relaxed at home and also it’s tipical that you have some problems with your battery or signal at the moment that you need it more.

In conclusion, I think we have learnt to live with mobiles and nowadays they are completly necesary although they can be a bit annoy sometimes.

  7. María José Racero Vilar -A says:

    MOBILES PHONES, A GREAT INVENTION?

Almost everybody has a mobile phone. But is it a great invention?
I think there are both advantages and disadvantages.
The first advantage is that you can get in touch with anyone and anywhere with this small and Light device so you can take it in your pocket. You don’t need to go back home or use a public telephone to call people. Secondly people use them not only to keep in touch, remind us important events or work because by the time mobiles have more and more funtions like mp3 player, camera, internet, games… , in this way mobiles phones are also the tool to entertain us when we are bored.
On the other hand there are also disadvantages. One of the main disadvantages would be the unnecessary use that young people give to the mobile phone, they became addict. Teenagers write their text mesages very fast with spelling mistakes and the problem is that they usually do the same in their exams. Additionally, mobile phones need to get charged and batteries don’t last long. Also sometimes the reception is poor in some areas, limiting your connectivity ( you can’t talk on planes and undergrounds). Another disadvantage is that mobile phone can damage our ear and our sight, for instante if we send all the time sms we may get astigmatigsm easilly.
In conclusión I really believe it is a great invention especially because they have change the way of working and are very helpful in an emergency but we should try to use them less time and talk together face to face instead.

  8. Tere Martín Rodriguez says:

    Mobile phones- a great invention?

Almost everybody has a mobile phone. But is it a great invention?
I think there are both advantages and disadvantages.
The first advantage and for me the most important; in some cases the life of people have been saved thanks to a mobile phone (in an earthquake, when people have been trapped under a pile of rubble, or in a accident, etc.)
Secondly, for people who use to travel a lot, it’s very easy to keep up with their family or friends and they can feel nearer them.
Thirdly, through a message you can get confirmation quickly about something you’re looking forward to.
On the other hand, there are also some disadvantages. For instance, nowadays most of the children have a mobile, I don´t think it is a good thing, because they can use it in a wrong way and also I also look it as a waste of money.
Another disadvantage, about teenagers who are always sending mesagges or downloading phone tunes, I think they use to waste too much time. And finally, some people forget good manners, they talk on their mobile phones very loudly in public places and they don´t mind that it can annoy other people.
In conclusion, I think the mobile phone is a great invention but, like all things, they have to be used in a right way.

  9. Carlos Arroyo says:

    LIVING WITHOUT A MOBILE PHONE.

Almost everybody has a mobile phone. But is it a great invention?. I think there are both, pros and cons.

First of all, people who have a mobile phone are always comunicated. In fact, they can go to differents countries and they talk to their family or friends . Secondly it is becoming necessary to work, above all in companies where work many people. Thirdly, lots of mobile phones have internet, so you will be able to look for information you need.

On the other hand, there are also disadvantages. Many families buy a mobile phone for their children when they are very young and they spend much time sending text messages or listening to music. In addition, while they are playing or talking with the mobile phone, they do not want to speak to their parents and it can provoke discussions.

From my point of view, this devices should be use only when you already need them, for intance in your job or when you have to travel. But when you go back home, you should turn them off.

  10. Tere Rojas Ramos says:

    LIVING WITHOUT A MOBILE PHONE

Almost everybody has a mobile phone. Nowadays almost all people have a mobile phone even there are people who have several mobiles and there are people although, I think very few who don´t have one. But is it a great invention?

I think there are both advantages and disadvantages.
Firstly to have a mobile phone is a great advantage because you can phone from everywhere, if you need help, to talk with your family or friends. Secondly, the mobiles the last generation have GPS and you can travel without problems because you will go where you want and you won´t miss. Thirdly, as the mobiles are very small but they have a great battery, for this reason, you can take photos, to listen to music or to send messages and e-mail during a lot of time.

But all aren´t advantages, there are some disadvantages as; first, always anybody who phone you when you are in a important meeting, having a shower or having a nap. On the other hand, as it´s so small sometimes you don´t know where you left it and you have to phone to your own mobile. Finally there is other big disadvantage, when you more need it, you are going to phone and there isn´t coverage.

For me, the mobiles are more advantages than disadvantages although I don´t use a lot only when it is very need, when my oldest go out or when I go out. But I hate when the people are all time with your mobile in yours hands and specially in the job.

  11. Concha Tascón Moreno 3º - A says:

Mobile phones – a great invention?
Almost everybody has a mobile phone. But is a great invention? I think there are both advantages and disadvantages.
The first advantage is that people can communicate quickly and in some cases continuously, this means saving time and increasing human relationships.
The mobile phone can to help managers and workers who spend much of their time working outside the office, traveling. Even increase business contacts between them.
Secondly, can help people in desperate situations like a traffic accident, people lost in the mountains, the shipwrecked person, the elderly, the chronically ill.
Thirdly, most mobile phones offer the possibility of using the Internet as a tool for searching and browsing as well as commercial transactions.
On the other hand, there are also some disadvantages. First some mobile phone users don’t respect timetables, thinking that it is easier to contact the person in their free time. We should learn to switch it off.
We must control the use of mobile phones to our children, young people, who spend many hours a day connected with social networking Twitter, Facebook, even the Internet, navigating pages aren’t recommended and wasting time that should be used for other tasks , to study and dialogue and maintaining relationships at home. Parents usually buy mobile phones for children to keep them more controlled, but mobile phones are always switched off or out of coverage.
The third disadvantage is the bill, in many cases a high and unnecessary expense.
I’ve lived without a phone and I hadn’t problems I was as happy as I am now.
Although it is one of the most important inventions of the twentieth century, I would like to live without mobile phones, is one of my dreams, I think I would be more free.
Of course I’ll call you tomorrow.

  12. mercedes sanchez rosado says:

Everybody would be aable to live withouth a mobile phone back, but it’s vey difficult to stop doing anything which makes your life easier.
Not many years ago people lived happily withouth mobiles but when you first use one, you realize how important it is.
Having a mobile has advantages and disadvantages ,in my opinion, more of the first ones than of the second ones.
If you have children(mainly teenagers) or elderly parents, a mobile is a useful fool because you can keep in touch with them and each other in anywhere and anytime.
There are sad situations in the life in which mobiles are incredibly useful ( carcrash, ilness and staying in a hospital, getting lost…)
Currently you use your mobile for many others uses apart from talking : like alarm clock,to send emails,to connect to Internet, like a camera or simply to play if you are bored.
As disadvantages ,the most common is everybody who has your number can find you in anytime which is sometimes a bit hard because many poeple don’t know to separate working life of private life.In these moments you have to turn your mobile off.
In conclusion ,from my point of view mobiles are a great invention.

  13. Jesús Banqueri 2ºB says:

What would I do without a mobile phone? Would it be a serious problem? I don’t think so. In fact, I don’t like a lot the mobile phone. I don’t like spending a lot of time talking on the phone. I’m usually in the same places, so people who want to talk with me, know how to do it even if I leave my mobile at home. But, in spite of that, I consider is an important machine. Nowadays, most of people always wear one of them, and that’s important for them because it permit them to go where they want, keeping in touch with family and work.

On the other hand, I consider it would be better, if the kids started to use the mobile phone when they were older. I think is not good for the children using the mobile phone just when they are seven o eight year old. I think most of the children want to have a mobile because his friends have one of them. If any children had a mobile, any of them would want to have one. But the problem is that the mobile phone is used not only to talk, but to play games. That’s way the children like it.

In general, I think mobile phones help us to live more confortably, but sometimes I’ve thought “I wish I’d never bought a mobile phone.”

  14. Leticia Campos Martínez says:

‘Mobile phones – a great invention?’

Almost everybody has a mobile phone. But is it a great invention? I think there are both advantages and disadvantages.

First, mobile phones allow everybody to keep in touch, for instance friends, family or classmates can communicate each other. From my point of view, this is the most important reason because communication makes the life easier and more comfortable. Secondly, thanks to communication, when someone has any kind of problem or need some emergency, only has to pick his/her mobile and call another person or dial a special number. Thirdly, if a mobile phone has Internet rate, its owner can search for and obtain information about anything and anywhere, anytime. Moreover, nowadays every mobile usually has camera, music player, alarm clock, radio, etc, even it can be customized with the tools we want, simply by downloading on the Internet.

On the other hand, there are also disadvantages and the stronger one is the excessive dependence or misuse which lots of people have. Some people waste much money and time when they use mobile phones. I believe that many people should learn mobile phones are a useful tool and not a body limb. Also, carrying a mobile phone can be uncomfortable in some occasions, for instance, when you go to a party and your bag is too small. Or for example, when you have go to a place where keep the silence is necessary because you take the risk of forgetting to put your mobile phone in silence and having an embarrassing situation.

To sum up, it’s difficult to me to give disadvantages because I think mobile phones are really useful and one of the most important inventions. The telegraph’s inventor said that telephone wasn’t necessary because we had telegraphs and nowadays everybody has mobile phones and most people cannot avoid use them. Whether or not people like it, technology is necessary and makes the life easier.

  15. Mª Auxiliadora Cuadrado Márquez says:

    LIVING WITHOUT MOBILE PHONE

I think almost everybody has a mobile phone. But is it a great invention? I think, there are both advantages and disadvantages.
The first advantage is that people don’t have to stay at home when they are waiting for an important phone call.People are be able to recieve the phone call wherever they are.
Secondly, people can use it to play games, listening to music, making photos. Even more you are able to surf on the internet to look for iformation as the best movies releases or whatever other thing you are interested.
Thirdly, mobiles phones are very useful at work. It allows us to be conected constantly in an easy way without minding wherever you are.You can send messages when you are hurry to say something important.

On the other hand, the same things that are advantages can be disadvantages too.
For example, if you are always localizated, someone will be able to phone you at anytime in order to ask you to meet and not always you feel like keep in touch with people.Maybe you prefer to be on your own at that moment. Also , mobile phone are an entertaiment when you are boring, but sometimes it take up too much of your time particulary when you have to do something and you don`t feel like doing it.
All in all, for me, the most important disavantage is that you can turn into a mobile phone addict. I know people who believe if they go out without mobile something bad will happen them and they won`t have it to phone to emergency.
In conclusion, Mobile phones are a good invent. They are saved people from difficult situations as kidnnapings. But we mustn’t forget that we should learn to use them without annoying people. Sometimes , people talk on the phone too loud in public places.

  16. ana romero merino-b says:

Nowaday, everybody have a mobile phone, I think that it is necesary because people need to be connected between them. It has several advantages and disvantages.
The first advantage is that you can comunicate with anyone who is anywhere in the world. Secondly, you can get in touch with anyone at anytime and thirdly for any emergency you can act quickly using it.
On the other hand it only has a disvantage in my opinion because if you don’t have a mobile phone and you don’t want to be avaliable, nobody is going to reach you.
In conclusion, I think that the mobiles are a great invention and Telephone Industry has improved too many because of the exicting big request.
Although I think that the Telephone Industry makes us change ours mobiles very aften and it recycles very few.

  17. ÁNGELA M. MARTÍNEZ VILLEGAS CAL. says:

    Mobile phones- a great invention?
Almost everybody has a mobile phone. But is really it a great invention?
Nowadays everybody uses a mobile phone.
I think there are both advantages and disadvantages.
First, if you had a problem on the road, an accident or you are lost everywhere you could call emergency. This little object can you safe your life.
Secondly, people use mobile for keeping in touch with friends and families. It allows us to keep many numbers in the phone memory and to use it when we need it.
Thirdly, they are tiny computers which you can use to surf on the Internet, to take photos, to play games, to look for a place with GPS application…
On the other hand, there also some disadvantages, for example, in my opinion people spend much time using their mobiles phone instead of talking face off with friends or family. Another disadvantages, is that when you need it desperately, it’s possible it hasn’t any coverage or battery.
I agree with banning the use of mobile phone in school. Sometimes children use it for cheating in exams or to take photos to teachers and upload then on the Internet. When they arrive at school they have to turn off them.
In conclusion I´m aware that mobile phones are important and I also think mobile phones are a great invention and they are necessary and useful but we need to show children how to use them.

Thirdly if you are business person you can work with your mobile and if everyone in every time needs keep in touch with you it would be able to happen.
On the other hand, there also some disadvantages of life with a mobile phone. For instance:
First, when you use your mobile, it cost money and you have to pay the bill.
Second, you have less private life because in several occasions it phoned an inconvenient time.
Thirdly, Maybe we are less free than before, we always take our mobile if sometimes we forget it, I’m sure we’ll feel worried.
In conclusion I think mobiles are a great invention and we should choose when and like use it.

Almost everybody has a mobile phone, even many people have more than one, a mobile for job, a mobile for family, etc. I think there are both advantages and disadvantages.

For example, people spend a lot of money using their mobile phones, and this it’s a big problem.
A lot of people are continually looking at their mobiles and they can’t stop do it.
Also many accidents in car are because people drive using a mobile phone.

The mobile phone can be useful: you can call when you need it, you can know about your family and your friends when you are away. For me is very important because I drive every day to my job and I felt save with my mobile phone.

But the mobile phones can be annoying too: I hate people that not switch off theirs mobile phones in class, in the cinema, in the theatre… Some people can´t live without theirs phones, they always are calling, texting… And I don´t like some ring tones, I hate it.

In conclusion I think that like everything the mobile phones have touse moderate, and thinking to not disturb people.
